A Brazilian dentist with more 35 years of experience, decided to make the USA her homeland, moving with her family to Florida in 2017. The vast experience of Dr. Silva as a PhD in Periodontics granted her the opportunity to successfully complete 2 years of General Dentistry Residency at University of Miami. This residency complemented her knowledge of dental care processes and procedures, especially with
compromised patients in a hospital setting, providing her a good start in her international career.
Dr. Silva also served her country in the Army for five years as a first lieutenant Dentist, helping low-income communities to have access to dental treatments. Also focused on the American community needs, while living in Florida she took part in different voluntary programs such as the Hispanic International Mission (Boston, MA) working for the improvement of children’s oral health with education, and demonstration of oral hygiene techniques; at Grace Medical Home (Orlando, FL.) working as a dental Hygienist; and at Rotary Club (Orlando, FL) creating a sense of community, and belonging for immigrant families.
Skilled in working with multidisciplinary teams to provide the highest level of knowledge in general dentistry, Dr. Silva’s goal is to offer to her patients the best treatments and outcomes. Joining the American state of art technology with the warmth of the Brazilian way, she wants to cause a positive impact not only in the individual’s oral health, but also creating a strong and educated community where she can give support to her patients as a big and strong family.
